The Legal News Wales
Awards Winners 2025

We are delighted to announce the winners of the inaugural Legal News Wales Awards 2025, a celebration of excellence in the business of law, culture and social impact in Wales.

Held at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel on Thursday 5 June 2025, and hosted by broadcaster and journalist Sian Lloyd, the sold-out ceremony brought together Wales’ legal leaders to spotlight those shaping the future of the profession – and strengthening communities and the economy through their work.

The awards programme spotlights exceptional performance and innovation in leadership, business operations, marketing, client service, finance, tech, culture, community support, pro bono work and more – to showcase the strength and impact of the entire legal profession in and beyond Wales. The awards ceremony offered a few surprise announcements, including the creation of an additional award to the programme – Legal Entrepreneur of the Year, based on the finalists of the Leadership Award.

Submissions were made from law firms, in-house legal teams, barristers’ chambers, legal advice clinics, and individuals across the nation, filled with exceptional evidence for excellence. Our judges had a challenging task to determine the finalists, who are now preparing for their in-person interviews with our esteemed judging panel

Legal Entrepreneur
of the Year

This additional award category was announced at the Legal News Wales Awards ceremony on the 5 June 2025. It was given to one of the Leadership Award Finalists 2025 (listed above), and will remain on our awards programme in the years ahead.

Our judges said:

'This leader has been the inspiration behind a brand-new award category at the Legal News Wales Awards.

'They have successfully built a specialist firm and showcased real entrepreneurship to build something completely different for the law firm’s clients and for its people. In doing so, the firm’s expertise now rivals that typically found only in London.

'The judging panel was particularly impressed by the commitment to a collaborative fee-earning model and a focus on developing and training the firm’s own team in what is a highly specialised, technical, and constantly evolving area of law. Above all, it was this leader’s passion for identifying new and emerging business opportunities — combined with a clear and strategic vision for the firm’s continued evolution — that truly stood out.’
